Precision multi-sensors are built into the snare, ride, and hi-hat pad, to provide an accurate playing response and realistic sound. These sensors work together with the TD-27 module to provide detailed sound, dynamics, and detail. Designed to allow the drummer to transfer the techniques used on an acoustic kit over to the VAD507. Featuring everything from cross sticking on the snare to hand muting the cymbals. The included VH-14D hi-hat provides playing sensitivity dynamics and a smooth open and closed hi-hat sound.
The TD-27 module features a multitude of preset kits and preloaded samples. A new feature of this kit is its ability to control your sound. This control is possible thanks to the addition of the module's transient shaping enhancements and parallel compression options, which allows you to alter the overall sound of the kit. Whilst the sound of this kit can easily be altered through production elements, you can modify your kit sound by adjusting tuning, applying dampening, and even changing the kick beater density.
The VAD507 features Pure Acoustic Ambience Technology to produce an immersive sound field. This kit allows you to adjust individual drum mics and stereo overheads, to get a close to realistic sound. Providing the power of a full-scale studio console, apply transient processing, Compression, EQ and reverb to your kit sound. Drummers can achieve mixing capabilities through this impressive drum kit.
Not only does this kit provide a realistic drum sound, but the VAD507 also allows you to change small things on your kit including tuning, dampening, and snare wire tension. This feature is extremely easy to use, offering hands-on controls and editing tools to achieve your desired sound. All of these edits are saved to the module, with the option to upload your own samples to the module and layer these with internal sounds.
A useful feature of the VAD Roland Series is the module's built-in drum coach. This feature allows you to effectively track your playing progress and focus on various parts of your playing, including tempo, warm-ups, timing, groove and stamina. Another similar feature of the VAD series is the built-in Bluetooth feature. This is particularly handy for playing along to backing tracks and your favourite songs - improving your ability to play and perform.
The Roland TD-27 sound module features a range of kits from vintage to modern, all with an authentic acoustic sound. Roland has sampled the finest drums, percussion, and cymbals and applied Prismatic Sound Modelling to each of these samples. This process creates a realistic drum sound packed with the life and character of an acoustic kit. Prismatic Sound Modelling adds to the overall playing experience, with the same sound and playing response as an acoustic kit.
Perfect for both live and studio playing environments the VAD507 has various connectivity options. With stereo outputs for the overall sound of the kit and two direct outputs for connecting the snare, kick and other sounds to an audio console allowing for independent mixing. This can come in very handy for live performances as this will give the sound engineer more control over the kit sound. The kit also features a built-in USB audio interface with 28 audio channels making audio production easier. Furthermore, the module also supports midi allowing you to sync with MIDI devices and trigger sounds in computer software.
