Sonor Benny Greb 13 x 5.75'' Signature Snare - Ex Demo Overview
The Sonor Benny Greb 13 x 5.75'' Signature Snare is a direct upgrade from Benny's extremely successful previous model from 10 years ago. One extremely noticeable difference from the previous model is the innovative MonoRail dampening system integrated on the inside of the shell. This consists of two dampeners named "the sheep" and "the felt". Both fully adjustable, they provide the snare with the ultimate flexibility ranging from big open tones to tight, poppy, funky tones.
Made from beechwood with a birch outer layer, the Sonor Benny Greb 13 x 5.75'' Scandinavian Birch Signature Snare produces rich, full-bodied tones at a powerful volume thanks to the nine-ply construction. Topped off with a natural shell finish with vintage tear drop lugs, the Benny Greb Signature snare certainly turns heads and impresses both the drummer and their audience.

About Benny Greb
Award-winner Benny Greb is a highly-respected jazz drummer from Germany. Drumming since he was six years old, he grew up to build an impressive legacy as well as success in his band "Moving Parts". Touring at the world's renowned drum festivals, Benny delivers in-depth drum clinics and drum camps sharing his complex knowledge of jazz drumming. In 2021, his success was recognised by the prestigious Batterie Magazine as they named him one of the top 30 greatest drummers of the 21st century. It is safe to say his extensive drumming knowledge has been poured into his latest signature snare offering unique designs and sounds.
The MonoRail Dampenining System
The latest Sonor Benny Greb Signature Snare features a dampening system never before seen on a snare drum. Aptly named "the sheep" and "the felt", the two dampeners are mounted internally on the drum and are applied to the drum head via adjusters on the outer shell. The dampeners provide a unique sound ranging from big open tones to intricate, funky tones. What's more, both dampeners are completely interchangeable allowing you to produce your own, truly unique snare sound.
