The Sonor SQ1 series drum shells are made from European birch wood which utilises Sonor's Cross Lamination Tension Free and Optimum Shell Measurement technology to guarantee a perfectly rounded and sturdy shell. Each ply is laminated at a 90-degree angle to relieve any tension allowing for the natural tones of the birch wood to truly shine through. The innovative shell construction allows the drum head to float freely providing unrestricted contact between the bearing edge and the drum head.
Sonor's latest 3D-printed Sound Sustain Technology enables complete segregation from the metal mount and the wooden shell. This provides a prominent, long-lasting sustain which is crystal clear and decaying. The rubber insert on the tom mount soaks up unwanted vibrations providing a booming, open sound from the drum shell. This design is ideal for a huge range of styles and drummers looking for a dynamic, empowering overall sound.
