The Rolling Glide cam is a round sprocket that ensures consistently smooth pedal action throughout the entire stroke. The updated cam is 40 times lighter than the previous cam, giving the Iron Cobra a lighter yet more controllable feel.
The Cobra Coil is a steel return spring. The spring presses the footboard to its original position, allowing the pedal spring to be tight without the negatives of heavy, sluggish pedal action. The coil is also adjustable to different positions on the footboard base plate, allowing for complete customisation to the players preference.
The most recent version of the Iron Cobra features a smaller diameter but thicker beater head. This combination allows for increased attack compared to the previous designs. The distance between the beater head’s face and the shaft has increased, giving increased control when playing faster patterns.
The Iron Cobra has an extended footboard, due to the re-positioning of the hinge, making it closer to the rear of the heel plate. The overall size of the pedal remains the same. The increased length of the footboard increases the control the player has over the pedal, especially when putting downward pressure on the footboard.
The Iron Cobra Double Pedal includes a pair of specially designed hard carry cases. Each pedal fits comfortably into the case, whilst the rugged exterior ensures that your pedals will avoid damage whilst they’re being transported after practice or between gigs.
