The Full Drumming Experience - With Mesh heads and Chokeable Cymbals

The WHD 650-DX Electronic Drum Kit is equipped with mesh heads on all of the drums, including the kick drum, which give an authentic drumming experience. Being carefully designed to feel as much like an acoustic drum as possible, the pads are also dual-zone, offering rim shots as well as drum hits, keeping the volume down without sacrificing the playing experience. The crash and ride cymbals have a choke function, the ride cymbal also has a bell function, making the whole kit as close to acoustic drums as is possible, allowing the transfer of skills to an acoustic kit - a great practice or performance tool. Each mesh head is fully tuneable with a standard drum key, tighten the heads for a quick, snappy resonse or loosen to increase resistance, excellent for building strength and accuracy when transferred to an acoustic kit.

Realistic, Detailed and Dynamic Drum Sounds

The WHD 650-DX Electronic Drum Kit has a generous 580 drum and percussion sounds, as well as 17 hi-hat combinations, which have been arranged into 35 great-sounding preset kits. These sounds can be used individually to create your own custom kits, and 20 user kits can be stored for future use. Adjust each drums pitch, pan, decay and reverb for a personalised experience.

Every preset kit has realistic response and articulation to recreate the experience of playing the drums. In addition, five of the presets have even more layers of sounds - providing unmatched detail for the discerning professional. Trigger settings are adjustable, giving you full control on the sensitivity of the pads, rims and cross-talk between pads, letting you tailor the kit to your preferences. Overall a Master Compression setting is also fully adjustable, ensuring the samples will not be distorted, even when playing the ekit at loud volume levels.

The Perfect Practice Tool with Versatile Computer Connectivity

This kit has 80 tempo-adjustable preset songs that have been selected to give a wide range of fun and informative tracks for playing along, as well as space for five recorded tracks. Perfect for practice, the drum track can be removed so you can take this role yourself. In addition to this, an inbuilt metronome helps improve your playing. Choose between a large range of tempos spanning from 30bpm to 280bpm to help build speed and accuracy. A choice of different metronome sounds are selectable to use for those who find a single noise distracting, find the style that suits you. Scroll between a number of time signatures and intervals, making sure you are able to practice any piece. The WHD 650-DX offers pro-level versatility, allowing the option to send the click through the headphones and main amplifier output - perfect for drum lessons and demonstrations - or to just have the click from through the headphones, perfect for gigging situations!

For home practice and drum lessons, the coach mode is a valuable tool to improving timing and encouraging smooth playing when playing a range of note values. The visual indicator shows you if you are ahead or behind the beat, as well as scoring your accuracy, tempo can be adjusted when you have mastered a rhythm to practice faster or slower. Record yourself playing and listen back to track your progress.

This is excellent for providing you with an extended bass response to accurately reproduce low-frequency content, such as bass guitars or lower octaves of a digital piano. It faces directly forwards so the low frequency pulses around you help to generate an immersive sound. You'll certainly feel the benefit when practicing with an electronic drum kit. The sideKIK will make kick drums feel and sound just like the real thing!

What's more, the two 3.5" high-frequency tweeters have been carefully angled so it directs straight towards your upper body, making it the perfect floor monitor. The speakers innovative design doesn’t end here. The tweeters are offset away from each other to ensure maximum dispersion of the mid and high frequency spectrum. In short, you’re still going to get that same great sound, whether you’re directly in front of the speaker or whether you’re at the other side of the room. No compromise necessary.

The inclusion of EQ dials allow you to globally tweak the sound of the sideKIK's first and second inputs to adjust their tonality. The low-frequency band provides a gradual bump at 150Hz for body and presence (perfect for a bit more kick drum or bass guitar), whilst the high-frequency band at 7.5kHz offers an ultra-smooth sheen for "record-ready" results.
