The Ashdown OriginAL Pre-DI Pedal offers detailed tone refining features for the advanced guitarist. The extensive 5-band EQ controls allow you to change the minute details of your signal for the optimum tone to your to your DI system. The 12AX7 valve can be engaged as a drive level for adding a harmonic lift, whilst the drive gain control determines your distortion level. This model also features a Showtime button to give your signal a further lift when soloing. The OriginAL comes equipped with an 18 volt power supply, and can run a 9v power supply if required.

Advanced bassists require an advanced EQ system that’s portable enough for the stage. The OriginAL’s 5 EQ tone controls offer a full spectrum of tone sculpting capabilities. By using the three mid controls you can effectively remove the frequencies needed for other instruments, whilst emphasising the frequencies needed for a thick, dense tone. The OriginAL’s 12AX7 valve drive has a natural break up which is ideal for directly recording from. In a live situation, the ‘showtime’ button adds the extra flare to your sound. The OriginAL can be carried to each event in place of an amplifier and give you the exact tone you’re familiar with.
