The AC-22LX is a compact stereo amplifier designed specifically for acoustic-electric guitars and other pickup-equipped acoustic instruments. However, using instrument microphones in live situations is not always practical due to feedback and other issues. But here's where the AC-22LX's Air Feel technology shines. It erases these limitations, bringing authentic studio microphone sound to your live performances or practice sessions.

Thanks to advanced BOSS sound research and processing technologies, Air Feel transforms the sound of your pickup-equipped acoustic instrument. It adds acoustic richness and dimension that was never possible before. Simply plug in your instrument and enjoy its natural acoustic character, amplified to performance volumes, without the need for microphones or audio engineering skills.

Powerful sound-shaping tools

The AC-22LX features a Guitar/Instrument channel with a three-band EQ, dedicated Reverb, and Reverb & Chorus effects. These tools allow you to shape your sound and add spatial depth to your performance. The XLR Mic channel includes selectable phantom power for condenser mics, a two-band EQ, and dedicated Reverb. With 15 onboard memories, you can easily save and recall different setups for your songs and instruments. For even deeper control, the AC-22LX Editor app provides access to detailed effect parameters and allows you to customise your sound.

Built-in rhythms

To enhance your practice sessions and live performances, the AC-22LX comes with an onboard Rhythm Box. Choose from 15 different patterns, including percussion and full drum set sounds, all infused with BOSS spatial technology. With the tap tempo button, you can set up the perfect groove and add vibrant rhythmic energy to your playing. For even more options, you can customise patterns with 119 variations in the AC-22LX Editor.

Perform, record, and stream

Thanks to its versatile analogue and USB connectivity, the AC-22LX allows you to perform in any venue and easily connect to PA systems, recorders, or streaming applications. You can capture natural-sounding acoustic tracks in your DAW without the hassle of using microphones. The USB connection also includes a convenient Loopback function for monitoring sounds from your computer. Whether you're performing live or livestreaming your music, the AC-22LX has got you covered.

Expanded performance control

To expand your performance possibilities, the AC-22LX offers additional options. You can connect up to two footswitches to control rhythm start/stop, the onboard looper, and other assignable functions. By installing the Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, you can unlock wireless connectivity and control functions with an EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal or FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch. You can also wirelessly stream music from your mobile device to play along with and use the AC-22LX Editor app for cable-free parameter control.
