Boss FZ-5 Fuzz Effects Pedal Overview

The Boss FZ-5 Fuzz Effects Pedal is a modern fuzz designed for the guitarists of today but delivers the purely retro fuzz soundscapes of yesteryear. Inspired by three famous fuzz pedals from the 60s, the FZ-5 recreates each classic effect with its state-of-the-art COSM technology providing the vintage warmth that made up so much of their character.

The three selectable modes correlate to each legendary fuzz: 'F' for a certain face-shaped fuzz, 'M' for the FZ-1 Maestro and 'O' for Hendrix's favourite, the Octavia. If that wasn't enough, the Boss Fuzz Pedal also includes a boost control, allowing you to dial up the aggression for fuzzed out madness. Distinct fuzz tones

Three for the price of one. The Boss FZ-5 Fuzz Effects Pedal is built for the modern player, with state-of-the-art technology and a roadworthy construction to ensure it can survive the life that vintage units may not. Although the FZ-5 is a modern pedal, its fuzz tones are purely retro, taking inspiration from famous fuzz pedals of the 60s and accurately recreating them using Boss’ COSM technology. Players are given access to three distinct fuzz tones, with the addition of a boost control to deliver extra levels of aggression. Selecting the F mode will deliver the fat fuzz tones found on psychedelic music of the late 60s, while the M mode provides a fuzz with a prominent treble boost. The O mode delivers a special, distinctive octave fuzz, delivering the classic fuzz character with an overlaid octave above for added sparkle.
