In fact, it fuses your voice and instrument together, whilst adding a healthy dose of synth goodness for an all-out spacey effect. Vintage and Advanced modes, accessible through the Mode dial, let you explore a huge range of synth voicings, which you can sculpt further using Tone and Color dials.
They are built upon by Choir and Talk Box modes, which further increase the tools in your arsenal. There's also a concentric Level/Blend knob, which determines how intense the Vocoder is comparison in your overall sound. Just want a light sprinkling of cyborg voice in your tone? No problem. Want all out musical Dalek warfare? Go for it!
It's super intuitive. All you have to do is hook up your guitar, plug a mic in through the XLR input, and then connect the output to whatever is next in your signal chain. There's even a send/return input/output if you want to create an FX loop, meaning this beauty can easily integrate with other pedals. There's also a mic sensitivity switch, which you can set at 'low' or 'high' (depending on the mic you're using) for optimal results. It's time to get vocoding!
