Meticulous craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail is evident on this dazzling guitar. As well as its beautifully sleek and comfortable basswood body and ash top, a caramelised maple neck promises a smooth playing experience. Slide in seamless fashion across its satin finish whilst the maple fretboard lies exquisitely under your fingertips. And it doesn’t stop there. Thanks to a caramelised treatment - the process of heating and drying - both the neck and fretboard boast all the qualities of an instrument with history behind it. The Govan guitar might feel old, but it has life in it just waiting to be unleashed.
Achieve a sound that has the approval of a legend, and yet still be able to delve into all the tone shaping possibilities you could ever ask for. Specially wound Charvel custom pickups allow for just that. They are arranged in a HSH configuration for a full array of humbucking/single coil tones; glistening clarity and delicious dynamics will flow in abundance. A 5-way blade switch lets you choose between the pickups with ease, whilst a 2-way mini toggle engages single-coil simulation in the humbuckers. Volume and tone controls, a recessed Charvel tremolo bridge, and die-case locking tuners then provide all the versatility and ruggedness that Govan needs.
