The Ashdown Double Shot Compact Twin Band Blended Bass Overdrive is your one-stop-shop for distorted bass tones. Its twin-band design allows you to distort the bass and treble frequencies of your bass guitar tone separately. Turn the corresponding 'Roast' knob clockwise to either warm up those lows, or add grit and presence to your attack. Then dial in the 'Dark' and 'Light' volumes to taste.
Part of Ashdown's all new PRO-FX ABM range, the Double Shot is a compact, pedalboard-friendly version of the three-band Triple Shot pedal. Like the rest of the ABM range, it features eye-catching vintage styling, and simplified, standard 9VDC, negative centre power with a 30ma draw, so it'll work with most standard pedal power supplies. Long-time Ashdown electronics engineer Dave Green spearheaded the designs, which all feature industry-standard, power supply-friendly 9VDC power requirements, with low, 30ma draws. For the Double Shot, Dave took the versatile, exclusive large-format Triple Shot distortion's three-band, 18VDC circuit, and condensed it. By removing the mid band, he created a best of both worlds scenario, with a fantastically controllable drive pedal that won't take up your whole pedal board.
