Lightweight Basswood Body With Arched Top

Like others in the Wolfgang series, this Electric Guitar features a lightweight, basswood body which eliminates any shoulder strain, perfect for gigging musicians who might require a lighter model, and also beginners. Basswood is commonly used for guitar manufacture due to its warm and balanced tone, which is perfect for any style. In addition, this basswood body also features an arched top, which provides a stunning appearance.

Compound Radius Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

As well as featuring a comfortable body, the EVH Wolfgang Special also includes a unique and innovative compound-radius fingerboard design, that gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This provides smooth playability for both chords and riffs, whilst the flattened heel allows a sensational and speedy accessibility to the higher register perfect for both lead and rhythm players. An ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays is also included, which is particular responsive to percussive techniques such as tapping. Finally, truss rod adjustments are easily to access, thanks to the innovative wheel, located at the base of the neck

Direct Mount Wolfgang Humbucking Pickups

The EVH Wolfgang Special Electric Guitar is equipped with a pair of Wolfgang humbucking pickups that are mounted directly to the body for increased vibration transfer, and prolonged sustain. These pickups are well-known for delivering fierce and screaming highs, defined middle and deep and chunky low end allowing you to perfect Eddie Van Halen's signature tone. Each pickup is equipped with alnico II magnets and a DC resistance of 14k (bridge) and 16k (neck), which makes them perfect for a range of playing styles due to their medium output and powerful vintage tone. Players can easily shape their sound using the black ''speed'' control knobs for Volume and Tone, along with the 3-position toggle switch.

EVH-Branded Floyd Rose Special Tremolo

For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years the Floyd Rose Special locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolo's the Floyd Rose Special bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by addition of the Floyd Rose locking nut at the end of the headstock. In addition, Eddie's personally designed D-Tuna is also incorporated and effortlessly retunes to a drop-D and back with superb accuracy, perfect for songs that require dropped tunings.
