The 018 concert body is significantly smaller than others guitars, providing a big sound in a comfortable design. Built with a tapered waist and shorter scale, as well as a lighter string tension, the concert shape is perfect for in the studio and on stage. Fingerpickers will love with the clarity and precision of this exceptionally designed guitar body. The added cutaway design allows easier access to the higher frets, and fluid hand flexibility across the whole fingerboard.
The Eko NXT 018 CW EQ Electro Acoustic Guitar is crafted from agathis wood which delivers an excellent sustain, with added warmth. The natural grain gives this guitar a traditional appearance, while its gloss finish provides the ultimate protection from day-to-day wear.
The fingerboard is made from rosewood which is smooth on the fingers and allows for fast and smooth playing. The neck is made from mahogany which is strong and reliable for long term use.
Eko NXT 018 CW EQ Electro Acoustic Guitar comes with a built-in Eko G03 preamp which allows the player to control the sound of the instrument with the in-built EQ, and easily plug into an acoustic amplifier for live performances. Achieving the perfect sound is easy with control options for treble, middle and bass levels, as well as having an easy to read on-board tuner with visual display and indicator lights for the flat/sharp tuning.
Eko Guitars gained their popularity in the rock'n'roll era of the 60s. Starting in Italy, Eko managed to take hold of the guitar market with their electric guitars. They were recognisable for their "rocker" switches that made them highly sought after. When Eko ventured into the acoustic guitar world, their guitars became the favourite among country and folk rock bands of the late 60s. The Eko acoustic guitar range became known for their reliability and class, this reputation still lives on today in the modern era with a huge range of Eko acoustic guitars. The price quality ratio of these guitars is what made Eko so popular, bringing excellent sounding guitars without the big price-tag.
