The Epiphone Casino produces both light and heavy tones, which makes it ideal for a range of genres from rock, pop, jazz and country. When played lightly is sounds full, clean and sparkly, but when played heavily it produces that distinctive Casino growl that can distort.
Durable Construction
As well as a great tone, the Casino guitar is durable thanks to its mahogany and maple construction. The laminated maple body makes it lightweight and also gives the guitar bright, crisp and twangy classic tones.
Its hollow body features two 'f' holes that provide a resonance and airy chime which allows the guitarist to achieve almost acoustic tones. It's no wonder it was a favourite among artists like The Beatles, Oasis, Foo Fighters, and more.
Mahogany Neck and Pau Ferro Fingerboard
The neck is thin and the fingerboard is smooth, the perfect combination that makes the Epiphone Casino easy to play. Pau ferro is tonally in between ebony and rosewood. It's slightly brighter than rosewood but has the same depth and warmth. It also feels similar to ebony and is smooth.
Reliable Hardware
The Epiphone Casino is equipped with rock solid hardware. Its LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece are locked in place. These keep your tone in tune and improve sustain. There are also Grover tuners that provide solid tuning stability, and make tuning fast and accurate.
