Ultra-Light Cabinet Design

Mesa Boogie’s Subway line of cabinets are designed to offer the prefect combination of high-quality design, portability, and great tone. Its lightweight Italian poplar construction is fitted with recessed, flip-out handles, ensuring players can easily transport the cabinet from gig to gig. The cabinet is also designed with aviation style bracing, which has been borrowed from the aircraft industry, reducing the overall weight of the cab while increasing rigidity. This is achieved by implementing dado-joined reinforcements and sculpting the bracing from an extremely sturdy skeleton, resulting in an improvement in the cabinet’s structural integrity. The 2x10 Subway also features Mesa Boogie’s innovative tri-port design, offering a front-facing multi-vented porting system which uses individually tuned triangular ports to enhance the entire bass spectrum.

Great Tonal Capabilities

To ensure players receive the perfect sound for any setting, Mesa Boogie equipped the Subway Cabinet with their own set of 10’’ custom neodymium speakers, offering beautiful soundscapes plenty of low-mid content. Its 600 watts of power provides plenty of output to suit a wide variety of venues, delivering a truly versatile performance for gigging bassists. With the addition of a high-frequency horn and premium L-Pad attenuator, player can adjust the level of the tweeter from fully off to fully on and anywhere in between for a more personalized performance. The back panel is then finished off with 1/4'’ and Speakon combination connectors, offering a paralleled output and 8 ohm input for a truly versatile performance.
