With the EMG PJX set offering incredible flexibility and a wide range of tonal combinations, the Schecter bass offers plenty of headroom and an excellent dynamic response. The PX pickup can be used to create a warm tone with a low-end punch, whilst the LJX has a tight mid-range and dynamic high-end response to produce a defined attack. Whether you solo the pickups or use them in combination, the PJX set offers a low noise output with tones ideal for tight slap funk to smooth motown grooves.
Nikki’s Schecter bass is also equipped with EMG’s VLPF (Variable Low-Pass Filter) active tone control, allowing players to roll of the high frequencies to create a mellow tone with plenty of warmth. The kill switch can be used to instantly silence the bass’ sound, letting players deliver a chopped effect to create unique sounds and intricate runs.
The Signature bass has a body constructed from high quality mahogany, producing powerful tones suitable for a variety of playing styles. The mahogany body offers a naturally rich, warm character, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood provides the bass with an excellent amounts of depth, producing an incredible sustain to let notes sing. The body is also equipped with Schecter’s custom bridge, which is designed to accommodate both string-though and top load setups to suit different playing styles.
The Maple/Walnut multi-ply neck provides the bass' tone with a bright characteristic, with plenty of warmth and depth for a full sound. The two woods work well together, producing firm lows, sizzling highs, and a snappy attack in the mids. Adding a rosewood fingerboard provides the tone with extra layers of warmth for a softer sound, adding sparkle to the highs while thickening up the lows. The guitar also comes with many other quality features, including Grover tuners and crème dot inlays on the fingerboard.
