Featuring a set of EMG TBHZ pickups, Simon’s Signature Ultra Bass delivers an authentic passive touch sensitivity and feel for the ultimate performance. Using two alnico and steel bars, the EMG pickups offer a plentiful amount of punch and output. Producing a rich full bass, a deep full sustain, and excellent clarity, the TBHZ pickups deliver EMG’s iconic quality, reliability, and stunning tonal capabilities. The EMGs also feature independent volume controls and a master tone, offering excellent control over the pickups to dial in the perfect tone for any setting.
This Signature bass has a body constructed from high quality mahogany, producing powerful tones suitable for a variety of playing styles. The mahogany body offers a naturally rich, warm character, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood provides the Schecter Ultra bass with an excellent amount of depth, producing an incredible sustain to let notes sing. Designed with chrome hardware, and a Tune-O-Matic bridge, Simon Gallup's Signature Schecter is given a gloss yellow finish with a black Simon Gallup graphic to produce a sleek and stylish look.
The maple/walnut neck and rosewood fingerboard feature a thin "C" profile, deliver a smooth, fast playing experience. Using both maple and walnut for the neck gives the guitar’s tone a bright characteristic, with plenty of warmth and depth for a full sound. The two woods work well together, producing firm lows, sizzling highs, and a snappy attack in the mids. Adding a rosewood fingerboard provides the tone with extra layers of warmth for a softer sound, adding sparkle to the highs while thickening up the lows. The guitar also comes with many other quality features, including Schecter tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and dot inlays on the fingerboard.
