The Schecter has a body constructed from high quality Mahogany to produce powerful tones. The Mahogany body offers naturally rich, warm tones, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood offers the guitar excellent amounts of depth and helps provide an incredible sustain. With ivory binding, chrome hardware, and a Bigsby bridge, the Schecter is given a vintage blue finish, creating a visually stunning look that works well with its classic body shape.
The 3-piece Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard has been designed to offer a smooth, fast play, whilst the naturally oily Rosewood fingerboard absorbs stray overtones for a rich sound. The Mahogany/Rosewood combination produces warm, mellow tones with complex highs, thick, creamy lows, and an appealing midrange. It also comes with many other features including Grover machine heads that provide smooth, fine tuning and great stability, and pearl block inlays on the fretboard.
The Ultra III features three Duncan Designed pickups, providing an incredible range of tonal possibilities, offering excellent leads and chords. The Duncan Designed FG-101 can produce a big, brash tone with a touch of snarl. The Duncan pickup imitates the tones that would be produced in a hollowed bodied guitar, offering a classic rockabilly sound. In the bridge position, the pickup offers a sharp attack with a bright tone, whilst the neck position provides a warm tone with thick lows and an excellent bass response. The middle humbucker offers the middle ground between the bridge and neck pickup, delivering warm bright tones with a midrange attack.
With a Bigsby flat top B50 bridge, the Schecter can create incredible pitch bend easily with the picking hands, creating a variety of effects and enhancing your playing experience. With a classic design, the Bigsby bridge not only bends notes and chords, but also adds a visual aspect to the guitar. The bridge also features a roller tune-o-matic to keep the string secure, offering excellent string stability with a tight spec tolerance.
