For a custom guitar that's created with the extreme sonic requirements of Mastodon in mind, it's no surprise to find this guitar is all about raw power. Featuring Kelliher's signature MojoTone Hellbender pickups - one in the neck and one at the bridge - you get a tonal balance that sits perfectly in any metal mix. They're powerful but not too aggressive - ideal for a balanced response with low-end clarity and midrange punch that's perfect for an evocative lead tone or smashing out huge riffs.
And when you want even more tonal flexibility, both of these pickups come equipped with push/pull volume and tone pots to split the coils. This means you can create single-coil tones from your humbuckers - perfect for a cleaner tone that still retains plenty of character, or for giving your playing an extra dimension.
