Key Features
The ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM is a seamless blend of classic and current. Sporting a salivating vintage gold satin finish and a multi ply binding, it instantly puts you in mind of a guitar that's seen plenty of action through the years. ESP have specially formulated the finish to match that aged yellowing of guitars that have been around for a while, giving you an antique feel but with full modern construction.
It's a good thing that ESP have paid as much attention to the sound as the look of this EC-1000, because it is fantastic. A pair of Fishman Open Core Classic humbuckers deliver the crunchy glow of retro tones. Precisely engineered, they'll give you unmatched performance and crisp articulation. They'll give voice to the incredible riffs you'll create on a sumptuous Macassar ebony fretboard accompanying thin U neck. And to cap it off, there's a tried and tested Tonepros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, for precise intonation and solid tuning stability. A timeless form, updated with ESP attitude.

Voiced to perfection. Music from the '70s has an unmistakable character, fuzzy, crunchy and full of rock flair. With the EC-1000's set of Fishman Open Core Classic humbuckers, you'll have access to a full vintage soundscape thanks to the advanced engineering of these pickups. Both pickups have three voices for you to choose, each one calibrated to give you a unique sound when selected.
Evoke the sweet crunch of classic PAF humbucker tones on the neck pickup. Of course, that's only one of its voicings! You can also set it to a unique Fishman output that's airy, detailed on the highs and tight on the lows. Or switch to a third option which evokes that coveted vintage single-coil twang.
Just like the neck, the bridge pickup has three modes available. Similarly, voice one purrs with a PAF-like vintage rock cadence. But if you want to turn up the heat, set it into the classic hot rod voicing and unleash some monstrous sonics. Dial it back with a third voicing that delivers single coil cut, but in an overwound, muscular style. With a feast of sonic options available, you'll love discovering how each one enhances your sound.
Let loose with as much energy as you can muster. The thin U-shaped mahogany neck is fast, polished and incredibly comfortable. Shaped to give your fingers ample room on the fretboard, you'll be able to unleash flurries of notes at blistering tempos. Chording is also effortless on this profile, as you have all that extra room to reach those awkward notes. Built for expansive playing, it's made from three layers of mahogany to ensure it can withstand your most aggressive sets. This is made for the long haul.
Formed in a set-through neck style, you'll have access to an endless sustain with each of your notes. Combined with the cutaway body style, it allows for loads of space at the base of the neck, giving you even more space for those exhilarating high-note solos.
Let your creativity run wild on an ebony fretboard. Smooth and slick, it's a blissful surface to touch. Naturally oily, your riffs will fire off at an extreme pace on a board that perfectly complements the thin U neck shape. Innovate and explore, the 22 extra jumbo stainless frets make your soaring string bends effortless to perform. Not only that, but the low action point for the strings makes chording a breeze too, so there's no end to the musical vocabulary at your disposal.
It gets better. Because the frets are made from stainless steel, they're going to last. There's no worrying about them wearing down and affecting your performance, these will keep your playing pristine.
Reliable performance, precise control. These are what the Tonepros locking TOM bridge and hardtail offer you. It's easily adjustable to get the exact intonation you're looking for. And it gets better, your tuning will be stable for the set thanks to the locking nature of this bridge and the locking LTD machine heads. In unison with the set-through neck design this creates a potent amount of tonal depth that's yours to enjoy.
