Are you ready for some ferocious growl? Powered by a pair of high output EMG Pickups the EC-1007 unleashes a relentless ream of rock. The vaunted EMG 81 pickup is one of the most popular humbuckers out there for its incredible high end cut and fluid sustain. The powerful ceramic magnets contained in the pickup give you maximum force in your tone, giving your licks serious definition and tons of presence.
Paired with the formidable 81 is the EMG 60 at the neck position. Sonically strong and also high in output, the 60 focuses on emitting thick, boosted mids that give tremendous depth to low end notes. The creamy, mellower textures you can obtain with this glorious pickup make it suited to single note solos, rhythmic chords and bluesy drawls. The EMG 81 and 60 duet is such commanding combo, you're going to have endless fun exploring their potential.
Mahogany paired with ebony
ESP have loaded the EC-1007 with a vast amount of tonal depth. Complementing the awesome EMG pickups is the gorgeous mahogany body and neck that will extract every vibration from your strings and instil that dark and rich character of the wood. Perfect for matching the lower register 7th string, this excellent tonewood will only get better with age. Crafted with comfort in mind, there's a cutaway giving you unhindered access to the top frets for some shrieking solos.
Looking towards the top, the EC-1007 has a 3-piece mahogany neck and macassar ebony fingerboard. Constructed from three pieces, this neck is sturdy, durable and more resistant to warping than the classic 1-piece. Just like the body, the mahogany neck offers the same rich resonance to pick up all the detail from the fingerboard. Snappy attack and sensational sustain is found in the crisp ebony fingerboard. Smooth and slick, it's a surface that invites creative and daring playing.
Tuning slipping? Not here…
Evertune. The clue is in the name. You can play for hours, execute the wildest string bends and aggressive power chord chugging and you'll still be firmly in tune. This is primarily thanks to the F model Evertune bridge, an all-mechanical system with floating string saddles that will keep tuning no matter the conditions.
