Not only will you have the original EMG 81 at your control, but you will also have another single-coil pickup enclosed in the same housing. So essentially there are two pickups in one humbucker. The EMG 81 produces a searing, crisp high range and shimmering sustain with the use of ceramic magnets and close aperture coils.
