Loaded With EMG Pickups

The EX-401 is powered by a pair of high output EMG Pickups, consisting of an EMG 81 in the bridge position and an EMG 60 in the neck. The EMG 81 produces a powerful output with good amounts of high end cut, while EMG 60 pickup delivers excellent output with clarity and sweet sustain.

EX Body Crafted From Mahogany

The ESP LTD EX-401 Electric Guitar features an EX body which screams 'metal' with its sharp, angular shape, crafted from rich mahogany. The mahogany body provides the sound with warmth and resonance, as well as good bite and sustain. The EX body features a classic black finish, matching black hardware and contrasting white neck/headstock binding for the ultimate metal look.

Maple Neck & Pau Ferro Fingerboard

The ESP LTD EX-401 features a 3-piece maple neck which is more resistant to warping than classic 1 piece necks. Maple offers a bright and clear tone with sweet sustain, while the Pau Ferro fingerboard brings warmth, articulation and richness to soften the sound.

Excellent Hardware

The ESP LTD EX-401 Electric Guitar also feature reliable and efficient hardware to complete the tone, including a Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Grover Tuners.
