This model comes equipped with a pair of direct mount Wolfgang humbuckers, delivering fierce, screaming highs, a defined midrange, and a deep low end. Thanks to this versatile range of possibilities, you are able to truly nail the legend Eddie Van Halen's signature tone. These pickups also come loaded with Alnico II magnets, alongside a DC resistance. With this, you are provided with the perfect range for a variety of playing styles due to their medium output and powerful vintage tone.
Make your performance unique
Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos for many years. Thanks to its reliable design, you are able to adjust your string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar for unique styles and sounds, such as divebombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos, this bridge can make huge changes in your pitch whilst retaining the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock. Additionally, you can switch to standard to drop tuning with a simple pull/push of the D-Tuna bar.
Comfortable playability
The EVH Wolfgang Special has been crafted with a unique and innovative compound-radius fingerboard design. With this construction, the fretboard gradually flattens towards the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut.
