The neck is made from quartersawn baked maple and reinforced with graphite rods, ensuring it stays rock solid through relentless gigs and travel. This bolt-on design is not only durable but also adds a distinct snap and attack to your tone, perfect for tight riffing and aggressive lead work. The entire build reflects Eddie Van Halen’s exacting standards, resulting in a guitar that’s road-tested and stage-ready.
Fast neck for fluid playability
Designed for speed and comfort, the baked maple neck of the Wolfgang Special QM is sculpted with Eddie’s custom backshape profile and features smooth rolled edges that feel instantly familiar in the hand. The hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back of the neck allows your hand to glide effortlessly, even during long sets or complex solos. The compound radius fingerboard, ranging from 12" to 16", is ideal for fast chord transitions and effortless string bending. Jumbo frets make it easier to press down notes cleanly, giving you full control and clarity across all 22 frets. It’s a neck built to keep up with even the most demanding techniques.
