The Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff Pi Distortion features a circuit based on the famous NYC Version 9 variant, though not identical. The tone falls somewhere between the current U.S. Big Muff and the Russian Big Muff with long, silky smooth sustain, a slightly brighter voicing, and less pronounced low-end. The aim was to pack all the tonal character of a classic muff into an enclosure that saved pedalboard real estate. The differences in component values deliver a unique-sounding Muff however, putting this little beast in a league of its own.
