When plugged in, the Dove Studio Electro Acoustic delivers a truly acoustic tone yet with increased projection for stage performances. The electronics include a Fishman SoniTone preamp at the soundhole, which allows players to easily adjust volume and tone, as well as a Fishman SoniCore pickup underneath the saddle. This model is complete with a Violin Burst finish, and a tortoiseshell pickguard with a unique Dove artwork design, to ensure the EJ-200CE looks just as beautiful as it sounds.

The Dove Studio Guitar has been crafted with a combination of select maple and solid spruce, for a versatile and responsive instrument. Its maple back and sides deliver a beautifully bright sound that dominates in the mid and treble ranges, while the solid spruce enhances the tone with crisp highs and tight lows, to create an overall balanced sound packed with plenty of punch.
Its neck has been crafted from a smooth maple, which enables fast and comfortable playing, ideal for a variety of playing styles and techniques. It yields bright and twangy tones, as well as excellent clarity and ringing sustain. while the pau ferro fingerboard creates bright sounds with warm lows. It has been paired with a soft pau ferro fingerboard, that offers added warmth and singing articulation to the overall sound.
This model is further enhanced with the addition of a SoniTone Preamp in the sound-hole and a SoniCore Pickup located underneath the saddle. The SoniTone provides players with an enhanced projection that is ideal for stage performances, as well as versatile control over the sound. There are simple and easy-to-access controls on the preamp that include a master volume and master tone, so that you can amplify your acoustic voice.
The Dove guitar was first introduced onto the music scene back in 1962 for Gibson, which made their second square-shouldered dreadnought after the beautiful Hummingbird two years earlier. The Dove is an iconic model due to its classic, bright acoustic tones and stunning 'Dove' pickguard artwork and bridge inlay. It soon became recognised as a 'Rock and Roll' icon, and a 1969 Custom Dove was released for Elvis to use in the early 1970s.
