The Epiphone Joe Bonamassa "Lazarus" 1959 Les Paul Standard is a recreation of Joe Bonamassa's classic guitar. Joe Bonamassa is a legend of blue-rock guitar and its only fitting that Epiphone produce a guitar which is as impressive as the guitarist himself. The original "Lazarus," a rare 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, was found in poor condition and had been refinished red. Joe had the guitar restored, returning the guitar to its former glory and revealing a stunning figured top.
Designed with a mahogany body, maple cap, and topped with exceptional wide-grain AAAA flamed maple veneer, this Epiphone model stands out from the crowd - not only in style, but in sound as well. Attached with a pair of Gibson BurstBucker pickups, the guitar perfectly captures its fundamental tones. This all results in an instrument that is not only unique in style but exceptional in sound.

A slick ’59 rounded medium “C” mahogany neck delivers a comfortable grasp, whilst still providing the freedom to effortlessly glide from one position to another. This is fronted by an Indian laurel fretboard giving you a perfect playing surface to perform upon, cushioning every strike to uphold the most comfort. This 1959 Les Paul standard works to deliver a classic blues-rock tone to the modern performer. It's equipped with a pair of Gibson BurstBucker pickups that ensure complete dynamic sensitivity and precise articulation. This works in combination with 50s style wiring, utilising CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors to offer the maximum response from each pickup, offered in a 2 volume and 2 tone dial setup you can fine tune your tone, allowing you to make your sound personal and unique. Constructed from a mahogany body and topped with maple with a AAAA flame maple veneer the guitar emits a fantastic natural characteristic, with the mahogany producing a resonant warmth whilst the maple top delivers bright overtone with a crisp bite all of which is essential to Joe Bonamassa’s iconic blues rock tone.
Joe Bonamassa is a modern guitaring icon, producing his own unique brand of blues-rock. For an American artist Bonamassa mainly cites British blues guitarists as his main influence naming Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff and Gary Moore as his main source of inspiration. He started out his musical journey at the age of 11, being mentored by American guitar legend Danny Gatton. By the age of 12, he was the opening act for blues icon B.B. King. Since then, Bonamassa has produced a plethora of studio albums and live albums, receiving multiple music awards and nominations for his work.
