Imbue your sound with Telecaster class. Loaded up with custom wound '63 single coils, this Relic shines with vintage sparkle and crisp articulation. Using period correct materials and Fat '50s wiring but with modern construction, you can recreate all your favourite tunes from the vaunted eras but retain enough low-end punch for added versatility.
Get ample cut and bite from the bridge position pickup that's going to be heard through any mix, and voice each note with searing treble. Flick onto the middle position for balanced definition that gives a rounded tone perfect for chords a rhythm sections. Select the neck for a full, warm sound that's thick with definition. It's an offering of sumptuous sonics, and carefully designed textures from the masters at the Custom Shop. And it's ready for you to enjoy.
True Fender feel
It's out of time. The Heavy Relic finish is so convincing it's difficult to tell if this came out of the factory or an antique shop. When you pick it up, it won't make it any easier to tell! Nevertheless, every inch is covered in Custom Shop quality that evokes the Telecasters of ages past. With a light alder body, the Custom Shop '59 Tele light, springy and resonant. Its reduced weight makes it hard to put down!
Sporting all the classic curves and hallmarks of the iconic Telecaster design, its going to keep all eyes focused on you. Finished in Aged Olympic white, it boasts a supremely attractive colour scheme that's fit for the gods.
Maple and rosewood tinted fretboard
If that excellent Heavy Relic Telecaster look hasn't got you persuaded, then all you need to do is turn your attention towards the maple neck. Crafted in an oval "C" shape and finished in a nitrocellulose lacquer it's supremely comfortable in the hand and incredibly slick. Your hand will be able to dart around the neck at lightning pace to meet the demands of the most complex riffs. To complete the Heavy Relic touch, the maple has been given a worn aesthetic across the main stretch, acquiring a true heritage impression. Rosewood is often regarded as the peak of fretboard material, and for good reason. Offering the same slick and soft feel as the maple neck, the rosewood shines with a delightful depth of tone. Included with medium jumbo frets you'll have an easy time sliding from one chord to the next or achieving exhilarating glissando effects. It's precise, delightful, and will have you hitting all the right notes.Tuning accuracy
Built for the stage. In fact, it's built like it has been on stage. So to keep your tune consistent this Custom Shop '59 Tele has a vintage style tuning machines and a bone nut to keep your strings locked in place. It's going to prevent your tuning slipping mid set and keep your Tele sounding pure.
In addition, Fender's Custom shop have fit a vintage American string-through bridge with solid barrel steel saddles. This conducts your string vibrations excellently, capturing every detail and transferring them to the pickups.
