The Fender Custom Shop Jaco Pastorius Tribute Jazz Bass is equipped with a fretless neck, giving you absolute control over your style of play, with no boundaries. There are many tonal and creative benefits to the removal of frets from a traditional bass neck, as your pitch is completely fluid, which allows you to pitch bend an slide up and down the fretboard with physical ease.
It also allows for a more comfortable performance, as much less pressure needs to be applied by your fingers on the neck when you're playing.
