Clarity, definition, and high-detail performance. A tone worthy of Clapton, these noiseless pickups let your expression shine through the mix, free from any noise! Designed and built using period correct materials, they'll grant you that true, classic soundscape so you don't have to go any extra effort to recreate those old-school sounds. And because they've got such amazing articulation, you'll hear every frequency in great detail, from rich, syrupy lows through to the crystalline, sparkling highs.
But this is an Eric Clapton Strat, so those noiseless pickups are backed up by some controls that lets you shape your sound in his style. That includes a Master TBX tone control (Treble Bass Expander) that lets you inject extra brightness and presence to the signal. In conjunction with a Mid boost on the second Tone control, and you can push the output of a Strat further than ever before.
Soft V-shapes maple neck
It's special. Just like original, the Custom Shop signature Stratocaster boasts a soft V-shaped neck that'll put the classic feel into your hands. It also offers retro stye riffing thanks to a 9.5" radius that's comfortable for both chording and Clapton-style lead lines. Dressed in 22 vintage style frets, you'll enjoy that fast-playing, classic action to your strings - in addition to frets that can stand up to years of hard playing!
Like the instruments of old, this signature special is finished in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer to imbue that authentic, responsive feel. In addition, it's so smooth that navigating the entire fretboard becomes an effortless task. While the stunning Journeyman Relic finish creates the feel of a worn-in guitar, the rift-sawn milling of this maple neck means you'll be playing it long into the future. It's tight-wood grain pattern ensures superb stability, and results in a durable neck to last you.
