In honour of George Harrison’s long career, Fender have commissioned this all-rosewood Telecaster based on his original Tele created by guitar luthier Roger Rossmeisl. Remaining true to its heritage, this limited-edition guitar embodies Harrison’s elegantly restrained playing-style and features a classic look and unique tone. With only 1000 pieces available worldwide, the limited edition all-rosewood guitar is perfect for both fans and players alike.
This limited-edition recreation of George Harrison’s original Tele features a stunning all rosewood construction, with its body, neck, and fingerboard delivering incredibly warm tones with excellent resonance and sustain. Its rosewood body has been chambered to reduce weight, increasing its resonance while providing an instrument which can be played all night long without strain. The rosewood neck features a smooth mid '60s C shaped profile, and is coupled with a laminated 9.5’’ radius rosewood fingerboard to provide players with an incredibly comfortable playing experience.
The Signature Telecaster is equipped with a set of American vintage ’64 grey-bottom single-coil pickups designed to reproduce the classic Fender tone of the 60’s. These pickups feature a vintage bobbin construction and genuine original-era cloth wiring to deliver an authentic 60’s-style Fender pickup. These single-coils are perfect for recreating Harrison's legendary tones and playing style from his time in The Beatles, providing an incredibly versatile tonality with plenty of punch and high end sparkle many players will fall in love with.
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut, the signature guitar delivers an increased resonance and bright tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
The rich history of Fender guitars begins with the Telecaster. An indispensable instrument, the Telecaster was the world's first successful solid-body electric guitar. Perfected after two years of development - and a name change or two - the Telecaster debuted in February 1951 and began its steady ascent towards the stage and studio. Ingeniously engineered with the ability to be heard both loud and clear, it was a marvel of simple design elegance and workhorse functionality. It is perhaps a fitting testimony to its essential original rightness that the Telecaster design has hardly changed ever since.

In 1958, Harrison auditioned for another skiffle band called the Quarrymen, which later become known as one of the most influential bands, The Beatles. During his time in The Beatles, Harrison composed many famous songs such as “Here Comes the Sun” and “Something” which later become The Beatles' second most covered song. During his time in The Beatles, Harrison began fusing a range of playing techniques and sounds, creating a unique and innovative playing style and sound that would go on to influence many guitarists.
