Key Features
Product Ref: 108604
The select alder body gives a bright and resonant tonality along with an elegant visual grain-pattern, revealed gracefully by the 3-colour sunburst finish. The body features the classic Jazz Bass outline which has given countless players a comfortable playing experience, whether stood up or sat down. The body is finished in nitrocellulose, just like vintage Fender guitars - a finish renowned for its ability to let the woods breathe and resonant more fully, along with a subtle low-sheen unlike modern high-gloss finishes.
The maple neck with nitrocellulose finish gives a smooth playing feel, sitting comfortably in the left hand with the modern "C"-shaped profile. The nitro finish will age gracefully and feel softer and smoother the more you play it. The pau ferro fingerboard is urethane-coated for an incredibly-smooth fretless playing feel, while the slab-cut design ensures maximum sustain and resonance - a particularly important feature when there are no frets. The neck features Jaco's iconic fret line markers to help you track your intonation when playing slick-sounding fretless riffs and solos.
American Vintage single-coil Jazz Bass pickups give a low-output sound with the iconic versatility of the Jazz Bass guitar. Mounted in the neck and bridge positions, each pickup has its own volume control, so you can achieve the perfect blend of bridge-position bite with neck-position warmth. Whether playing chords, single line solos, or slick riffs, you'll find the exact sound you need with these two pickups and master tone control.
A vintage 4-saddle bridge gives the Jaco bass full string-adjustability, along with a resonant platform to transfer the maximum string vibrations to the body. Reverse tuners are a unique touch which gives this guitar a unique Jaco tuning feel, while a Deluxe Brown Hardshell Case ensures you'll be ready to get gigging straight away.
Bass Guitar Magazine:
"The urethane-coated pau ferro fingerboard is delightfully smooth to the touch, while the slim Jazz neck’s 38mm nut width, 19mm string spacing and exceptional setup make this an extremely playable bass…
Fender has obviously gone to town: the quality is tangible and every aspect of the performance is of a very high standard."
