Equipped with a trio of powerful vintage-style single-coil strat pickups, the Jimi Hendrix Fender Guitar delivers beautifully vintage tones suitable for a wide variety of playing styles. The pickups offer plenty of sustain to ensure each note sings, while its bell-like character and excellent articulation makes the guitar perfect for creating epic solos and massive soundscapes. Use the master volume and two tone controls to dial in the perfect sound for any situation, and switch between pickups with the 5-way blade.
The Jimi Hendrix Strat features a classic alder body to deliver an incredibly resonant and balanced tone, with plenty of clarity for notes to sing. The body's comfortable contours provide a smooth performance while the lightweight of the tonewood ensures players don't strain their shoulder during long performances. Alder provides a good amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, excellently rounded lows, and beefy mids.
The Fender Artist Guitar's maple neck provides bright tonal characteristics, tightening up the sound and giving it plenty of cut. The 'C' shaped neck is designed for an incredibly comfortable playing experience, allowing the hand to fully cup the neck and deliver smooth navigation of the fingerboard. Both the neck and fingerboard are made from maple, which provides beautifully bright tones, with searing highs and strong mids for a dynamic performance.
Born in 1942, Jimi Hendrix was an American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in history. The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame describes him as ''arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music''. After moving to England in late 1966 and being discovered by Linda Keith, within months Hendrix had earned three top ten hits with the Jimi Hendrix Experience: ''Hey Joe'', ''Purple Haze'' and ''The Wind Cries Mary''.
