The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Jazzmaster HH is part of Fender’s Made in Japan Series, which sees a reproduction of vintage Fender instruments with Japanese craftmanship. This means that every instrument in this series, the 60s Jazzmaster HH included, is a limited edition Fender guitar unlike any of their other releases. Made using only the finest components, the HH puts out an incredibly powerful sound thanks to the double humbucking pickups, that can be shaped to fit. What’s more, it is designed not only to survive, but to thrive on the road - so that you can sure that when you invest in this Fender product, it will stick with you for a long time.
The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Jazzmaster HH is not only sonically influenced by its pickups, but also its tonewoods. The body of this guitar is made using basswood for a light sound that is highly responsive and excels in the mid-range – also providing tight lows and singing highs. This effect is compounded by the maple neck, which provides an additional brightness to the mix. Featuring a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays – you’ll be sure to find a highly comfortable playability that helps you to know where you are on the fretboard at all times.
Equipped with a 6-saddle vintage style adjustable “floating” tremolo bridge, you’ll be able to get as creative as you like, and whammy to your heart's content. The bridge works in unison with the vintage-style tuning pegs a bone nut to ensure a stable tuning alongside a comfortable action of the strings above the neck. What’s more, the neck itself is complete with a gloss urethane finish that will have you gliding across the fretboard with ease.
The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Jazzmaster HH is complete with two CuNiFe humbuckers. These powerful and versatile pickups represent a new Fender take on the classic humbucker, providing an aggressive tone that can be easily tamed to fit your style of playing. What’s more, the CuNiFe provides a high-fidelity sound that thrives with chiming clarity at high outputs, bright and warm with fantastic attack – these pickups will respond sharply to the dynamics of your playing, working with you to find a unique voice.
When you reduce the tone, you can achieve a well-rounded, gentle voicing that is suited to softer styles and more commonly associated with the Jazzmaster. If you crank up the gain, though, the CuNiFe’s will respond exceedingly well with serious aggression and pinpoint note definition for a heavier experience.
