Key Features
The Fender Made in Japan Traditional II Nocaster is a limited production run of Fender's very first design. This limited-run Nocaster boasts true-to-the-original specifications, with an ash body and Fender's Custom Shop '51 Nocaster pickups accurately replicating the resonance and tone of this very first attempt at the now-legendary Telecaster design.
Its U-shaped maple neck and 7.25-inch fingerboard radius give a more rounded feeling in the hands that accurately reflects the original build. The classic Tele bridge with three brass saddles adds characteristic sustain, unchanged since the year of its release. Vintage-style tuners hold tuning accurately and consistently.

True to the specifications of the original 1951 Nocaster design - the guitar that would later become the Telecaster - this Japanese-made instrument shows off the original specifications as well as the quality craftsmanship that Fender Japan is known for. Delivering on this promise, the Traditional II Nocaster features a thicker 7.25" radius fingerboard as well as a U-shaped neck profile. Made from ash, and with the signature brass-saddle bridge, this take on the Nocaster has all the hallmarks of the pre-name Telecaster.
The Nocaster found widespread use in rock-and-roll, electric blues, and country music due to its snappy treble, and clear midrange, courtesy of its unique pickups. This model is no different, featuring vintage-correct pickups directly from Fender's Custom Shop, built to the exact specifications of the originals.
