Born in 1958, the Explorer was first released alongside the Flying V, and it represented a new era of guitar design and innovation. The shape allows it to be well balanced and comfortable, with each contour naturally fitting around the person playing it. That's why it's become a favourite amongst professional artists and musicians across the world. This modern iteration of the Explorer is packed out with flawless features which proudly bring this classic model into the 21st century.

Bursting onto the scene

Like a whirlwind. Burstbucker pickups are known for their vintage Gibson sound and crunchy tone. They'll give your riffs a huge boost by making them ring out with complete clarity. Sitting in the bridge position is a powerful Burstbucker 3 humbucker, which offers a high-output, hot sound. It creates that classic, PAF-style vintage tone, whilst adding slightly more bite and crunch for added character. Your rhythm licks will sound pristine, jumping out with energy.

There's a Burstbucker 2 in the neck, which takes your tone to a different world. Oozing with lower output magic, it makes each note fat and juicy, allowing lead licks in particular to shine through.
