Gibson have designed the G-Writer to be a pleasure to play. An LR Baggs Element Bronze pickup system with a designated pre-amp produces a sound that is delicate and articulate, allowing you to emit a classic acoustic tone with unbeatable clarity. A designated volume control allows you to keep your practices quiet, or alternatively, you can really dial up the amplitude and blow away the crowds during performances.
With Gibson guitars it's not just about the quality of the sound, it's about the comfort as well. Finding the perfect balance between great sound on an acoustic and impeccable playability is an artform, but with the G-Writer this is what Gibson has achieved. A slightly thinner cutaway body offers increased comfort and easy access to the upper ranges of the fretboard. The body shape is perfectly fused with an advanced response utile neck, offering up a precise, comfortable grip whilst still providing the flexibility to glide effortlessly across the fretboard. The striped ebony fretboard itself provides an excellent playing surface to achieve perfect accuracy upon. All of this results in a guitar that plays like a dream.
...it's a revolutionary feature based on a concept of Gibson's from the '60s. Not only will you have the main soundhole projecting your glorious tones out to your audience, but you'll also have the benefit of a second soundhole - located on the upper bout of the body - directing your sound to you. This means you'll be able to hear your guitar the way your crowd does, granting you a completely new playing and listening experience. So, when you tune up and sculpt your tone, you'll know exactly how it affects the sound exuding out to your audience.
Constructed with quality materials by craftmanship you can rely on. The Gibson G-Writer EC has been built with your performance in mind. A walnut back is topped with Sitka spruce not only delivering a fantastic, bright tone but also ensuring incredible durability. Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners are employed to deliver impeccable tuning stability, meaning you can spend less time tuning and more time performing. The true brilliance of this electro acoustic can only be truly appreciated when you play it yourself.
