This model's body has been crafted into a dreadnought shape, which provides an enormous voice, and maintains overall tonal balance. Its combination of tonewoods and classic dreadnought body enable players to achieve strong, dominant chord sequences with superb projection and volume, yet is still able to accommodate light to medium strength fingerpicking techniques just as beautifully.

Its big body is ideal for players with a longer reach, and those more comfortable with the dreadnought size. The sheer volume the G5024E can project makes it ideal for the singer/songwriter, as vocalists can really push their diaphragm to the max and not feel too loud against the guitar's volume, as it will sing as loud as you do.

The Gretsch G5024E features a solid spruce top that yields crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range. This top generates a versatile tonality that is accommodates numerous techniques from light fingerpicking styles to more aggressive strumming patterns with equal ease. Combined with laminated mahogany back and sides, and G5024E delivers a rich, full, and resonant sound. Its laminated back and sides don't warp over time and remain strong with great tonal properties.

Constructed from mahogany, the G5024E's neck produces a rich, resonant sound that responds greatly to many different playing styles. It has been topped with a rosewood fingerboard that not only offers a smooth and energetic playing experience but adds a sonic warmth to the overall sound. For added beauty, it has been sprinkled with neo-classic thumbnail markers, inlaid in white pearloid with vintage size frets.

Equipped with a Fishman Isys+ preamp, the G5024E is perfectly suited to live and rehearsal environments, making it ideal for the gigging musicians. Its on-board preamp features a 3-band EQ for basic sound tweaking, including rotary controls for bass, treble, and volume. The Fishman Isys+ also features a phase button that helps to reduce undesirable feedback when plugged-in within live settings. It also comes with a built-in tuner, providing players with a bright easy-readable LED screen, making tuning up or down precise and easy within the darkest of venues.
