Crafted from laminated maple, this legendary guitar boasts an internal "open" construction. It delivers a warm, resonant tone without the pesky feedback usually associated with hollow body guitars. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, which promise natural sound projection and that classic, elegant look of '50s instruments. These elegantly cut holes, also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the '50s. And, of course, the body is wonderfully lightweight, lending itself to effortless, comfortable playability.

Iconic '50s sound

Like the original model, the G6120 is equipped with a DynaSonic single-coil pickup at the bridge position and a Lindy Fralin "Dog Ear" at the neck. The DynaSonic has been a Gretsch standard since the late '40s and was one of the first pickups to offer individually adjustable pole-pieces. It delivers shimmering highs and a rich, full bass response. But put the two pickups together... and you have a powerful combination. Expect all those classic vintage tones that made Eddie Cochran so legendary.

A detailed replica

This iconic replica guitar features all the legendary elements of the original model, including a translucent plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo, Bigsby B6GBVF tailpiece, and pearloid western block inlays of cactus, steer heads and fences across the rosewood fingerboard. An Eddie Cochran Signature is featured on the truss rod cover, and a deluxe hardshell case is also included. Eddie Cochran - the legend

Eddie Cochran was an American rock 'n' roll singer-songwriter and guitarist known for classic hits such as "C'mon Everybody" and "Summertime Blues". During his all-too-brief career, he experimented with multi-track recording, distortion techniques, and overdubbing, and has achieved an iconic status since his death. Gretsch decided to pay homage to this legendary guitarist by producing an exact replica of his guitar, along with authentic markings just like the original.
