With a solid okoume top, high gloss finish, and an elegant abalone/maple soundhole rosette, the natural beauty of the okoume body shines in all its glory. It’s a sight to behold. But as well as a dazzling aesthetic, it also exudes glorious sound. Strum with resonance and richness carrying every chord, fingerpick with clarity coating every note, and lose yourself in the well-balanced, warm, superbly versatile tone of okoume.

What's more, Ibanez have expertly sculpted this electro acoustic into their innovative AE shape, which is slightly bigger than the traditional dreadnought and delivers exceptional dynamics for both aggressive strumming and lighter fingerpicking styles. And it's supremely comfortable to play too thanks to its deep contours and Venetian cutaway, so you can slide right to the top frets effortlessly and become engulfed in a magical playing experience.

Electronics like no other

The AE245 is stage ready. It's loaded with on-board custom electronics and Ibanez's T-bar undersaddle pickup for immaculate amplification of its acoustic tone. Designed to be as discreet and unobtrusive as possible, the preamp doesn't impede the AE245's natural aesthetic, and yet it still allows you to plug into an amp or PA system - the best of both worlds. The subtle, sophisticated T-bar pickup then features a centre position wired construction which helps to avoid undesirable noise whilst equalising the volume of each string.
