The Ibanez AR2619 Prestige features an eye-catching African mahogany body topped with stunning flamed maple, creating a truly eye-catching aesthetic which is only enhanced by its black rutile finish. Along with its elegant contours, the guitar’s lightweight design ensures players can wielded it all night long without strain. As well as appearance, the Ibanez also features a twin horn body shape which allows easier access to the higher frets for incredible flexibility across the whole fingerboard.
As well as a lightweight body, the 2018 Ibanez AR2619 is also equipped with a 3-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard, offering an incredibly stable and smooth performance. The maple tonewood provides the overall tone with a beautifully bright characteristic, creating a sizzling high-end with plenty of punch. The ebony fingerboard features a smooth, natural finish, along with a very responsive bright, snappy attack and a smooth sustain. It’s bound edges and prestige fret edge treatment creates a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
Loaded with two Super 80 ''Flying Finger'' humbuckers, the Ibanez AR Prestige produces a rich vintage tone with plenty of output and high end definition. With passive circuitry and ceramic magnets, the Super 80 Flying Finger pickups are perfect for a range of music styles. Additionally, the stylish gold caps covering the Super 80 pickups also feature a unique flying figure engraving to create a truly classic look.
A unique feature of the AR2619 is its wo tri-sound switches, offering further tone shaping capabilities for the neck and bridge humbuckers. These switches allows players to set the humbuckers between the traditional series configuration, a parallel setting to deliver a brighter, single-coil-like sound with a lower output and hum cancellation, or a coil-tapped option to produce classic single-coil soundscapes.
This stunning guitar also features a Gibraltar bridge, designed to join with the guitar's body and provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration for an enhanced resonance. The addition of a sustain block enhances the natural sustain produced by the strings, while its smooth surface is designed to maximise playing comfort and provide an unobtrusive performance.
The addition of a Quik Change tailpiece provides players with quick and easy string changes, while enhancing the natural resonance between the strings and body. The classic aspect of the Quik Change and the gold finish adds to the vintage aesthetics of this AR series guitar, and complements the Gibraltar bridge in both looks and performance.
