Comfortable Maple Archtop Body

Constructed from an all maple body, the Artcore guitar produces a focused tone with an impressive sustain and character. With a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, the maple body delivers a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. For added acoustic projection, a duo of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the maple soundboard, providing a classic look which many guitarists associate with the 1950s.

Smooth 3-Piece Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

As well as proving a resonant body with comfortable contours, a three-piece mahogany/maple neck is also incorporated for added comfort and delivering an enhanced tone. The three-piece neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard and features beautiful acrylic block inlays. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons.

Super 58 Pickups

The Ibanez AS83 delivers beautiful tones perfect for jazz fans, with its choice of incredible Super 58 pickups which have been used by artists like George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield. This vintage choice of pickup delivers warm, balanced articulation, an excellent response, and a perfect tone for jazz guitarists. These pickups are capable of delivering a 'jazz clean' tone, as well as 'blues-dirty' for a versatile performance.

ART-1 Bridge & Quik Change III Tailpiece

The AS series Artcore features the ART-1 bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece combination in a stunning gold finish, creating a beautifully modern yet old appearance to complement the guitar’s aesthetics. While the bridge helps improve the strings sustain and tuning stability, the tailpiece allows for a faster and easier string change than standard bridges.
