Don't worry, you haven't lost your head. This is a headless bass, which comes with a unique set of advantages. First, it reduces the overall weight, giving your shoulders some well-earned respite. The multi-scale fretboard is a step above the rest – it redefines playability. With slanted, or 'fanned', frets, it naturally fits to the slant of your wrist to ensure maximum comfort when playing, whilst guaranteeing superior intonation across the board. It also adds extra definition to the tone of the low strings, whilst making the treble strings brighter and clearer. The result is unbelievable playability combined with a superbly tight sound. They have a P/J voicing, meaning their tonal range is huge – capable of handling any genre. The bridge pickup is raw and powerful, beefing up every note and punching through the mix like a wrecking ball.
The neck is warmer and smoother – perfect for blending in with other instruments and bringing out fatness in your riffs. As if that weren't enough, there's also a Vari-mid three-band EQ control section, where you can tinker until you've found your perfect tone, and also use the mid frequency function to work more detail into the midrange.
