The Ibanez PIA3761C Steve Vai is a high spec, no compromise instrument. Built to look - and sound - exceptional, it's going to thrill you with its stunning sonic versatility. That's courtesy of three powerhouse DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups that can voice a vast repertoire of tones. Configured in an HSH layout, you have a breadth of sounds at your disposal, with serious ceramic humbucker heft for attitude filled distortion, and a single coil alnico for sparkling, musical cleans. Combine this with its 5-way switching, and you can serve up a sonic feast.
Designed in partnership with Steve Vai, it's not only going to sound good, but boast the kind of playability that virtuoso-level players need. To that end, you're getting one of the fastest necks ever seen on a guitar. The 5pc maple / walnut neck is shockingly slim, slick, and stable, allowing for rapid position changes. Together with a beautiful, PIA blossom inlayed rosewood fretboard that's had the Prestige fret-edge treatment, you can let your creativity explode. Not to mention the locking edge tremolo system that opens new dimensions of vibrato acrobatics! Divebombs, shimmers and flutters all hit with accuracy, without any adverse tuning affects. Unlock your potential, the Steve Vai PIA3761C gives you the platform to push your playing further.

For the tone seekers. The PIA3761C can't be pinned down to any genre, because with a set of DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups you can explore almost any sound you like. And even better, those sounds are backed up by the formidable output that these DiMarzios boast. A pair of ceramic humbuckers provide the heavy hitting tone to punch through, while a middle position alnico single coil gleams with sparks and clucks. Together they create broad sonic range for you to sample, and completed with 5-way switching, there's always a new sound for you to enjoy.
At the bridge, you'll get boosted mids and glistening trebles, push it further for a ripping roar that'll push any amp to overdrive! The neck offers a richer, warmer tone that's filled out on the low-end. Excellent for thick rhythms or lead lines that require extra presence.
For the speed demons and slick shredders. Possibly one of the fastest necks you'll see on a guitar, the PIA profile lets you riff at an unimaginable pace. That's courtesy of its slim, sculpted shape that gets progressively thinner as you approach the nut. The result is a feel that makes chording quick at the low frets, and solos expansive at the high end, as your fingers have ample room to fly around the frets.
It's combined with a gorgeous, high quality rosewood fingerboard. Inlayed with the eye-catching PIA blossom pattern, it's a joy to navigate. And that's only made easier by the rosewood's naturally smooth character. Not only that, but you also gain maximum comfort while exploring the board thanks to the Prestige fret edge treatment, it'll let your fingers glide from fret-to-fret seamlessly. And to encourage adventurous solos and technical tapping, the fingerboard is scalloped between the 21-24 frets - letting you inject those stunning pitch bends with ease.
Reliable, precise, and accurate. That's the qualities you can expect from the PIA3761C's hardware, as every component has been meticulously combined to award you with the best experience. That reliability stems from an Edge Tremolo bridge and a set of Gotoh locking tuners, in tandem they let you hammer out the riffs without slipping out of tune. And not only that, but you'll enjoy superb intonation control that's simple to adjust thanks to the easy access screws.
There are a few extra touches which show Ibanez and Vai have the performer in mind. For one, the tremolo has a magnetic cover, so it's a breeze to quickly make adjustments or string changes. On the electronics side, there's a high pass filter on the volume pot so you can enjoy detailed trebles even at low volumes. It's a true workhorse that's just waiting to impress!
Send your sound soaring. The Edge Tremolo bridge lets you pull off those showstopping whammy acrobatics with supreme accuracy. Whether you want to divebomb with ferocity or pitch up a low note like a rising tidal wave, you'll do it all with aplomb on this system. It's a knife-edge style trem that snaps straight back to position, so it works beautifully with fast, shredding styles. That's only encouraged further by the Ultralite Tremolo Arm that's superbly comfortable to use.
