The best Ibanez has to offer. J Custom models are produced by a small group of elite luthiers to ensure maximum quality. Quality that stretches all the way from the headstock to the end strap pin, but it's the playability that elevates J Custom guitars over everything else!
With a special J Custom neck profile and fret edge treatment, the RG8527 is extraordinarily effortless to play. The neck "Super Wizard" profile is super flat, super thin, and - most importantly - super smooth! It's honed down to a fine "Velvetouch" finish that insantly feels worn-in and ready for riffing. You'll be able to shoot around the scales at top speed!
And speaking of pacey playing, every note will be easy to action thanks to the J Custom fret edge treatment. This makes fretting comfortable thanks to their meticulously rounded profile, so you can string bend and solo in maximum comfort.
Refined DiMarzio tones
Expect fine control over your sound. The RG8527 RG J Custom is equipped with twin DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups that boast vintage style lower output, in addition to a versatile array of switching options. Serving up clear and clean lows matched with warm, rounded highs, you'll get high fidelity notes on both the lowest fret B-string and highest fret E-string! This will let your pick attack and dynamics dictate the tone.
In addition, the versatile array of switching options affords you tonnes of options for fitting into a mix. A 5-way switch allows you to have each pickup in isolation or running together as usual, but two "in between" tones you extra sonic character. Firstly, you can have the neck in parallel mode, which emulates two single coils running together for a thinner, twangier sound. Secondly, you can have a single coil from both the bridge and neck paired for a balanced tone.
The ultimate in tuning stability
