The Ibanez SML721 is built for adventurous players. Equipped with a pair of super powerful Q58 humbucking pickups that are wired with dyna-MIX10 switching, you've got a tonne of tones at your disposal. In both humbucking and single coil modes you'll enjoy a thumping low-end, bright, clear top-end and an ultra-low noise performance. Perfect for further shaping with digital and analogue effects!
In addition to this huge array of sonics, the SML721 serves up a platform of ultra-swift riffs. A 5-piece maple/walnut neck is shaped into Ibanez's famous Wizard profile that's super thin and flat, providing you ample room for shredding on the fingerboard. Speaking of the fingerboard, you'll be firing out virtuoso solos with effortless style thanks to the extra smooth rosewood material. It's mounted with Jumbo Jescar EVOgold frets for precise string action, and they're slanted in a multi-scale design so you'll get a maximum fluidity when moving around the board. Push boundaries and take your music further with the SML721.

These aren't just any ordinary humbuckers. No, the Q58 set is paired with dyna-MIX10 switching to unlock a bounty of tones to explore. There's the you standard, meaty and punchy humbucking modes that are perfect for rock and metal genres, but if you need to find a slightly different frequency to sit in a mix better, then the advanced switching of the SML721 has you covered.
You can take the pickups from individual humbuckers, both humbuckers together, inner single coils paired, outer single coils paired, lower-output humbucker modes and individual coil-split single coil modes. That's a staggering amount of versatility all in one instrument, and lets you explore multiple genres to take your effects even further.
Built to make you excel. This fretboard is ready for the fastest riffs and most complex solos thanks to its ultra-smooth rosewood material, premium frets, and mult-scale slanted design. Jumbo Jescar EVOGold frets ensure a great feel, precise action, and solid durability to your fretting life. After all, if you're going to be firing out solo after solo, you'll need frets that require minimal maintenance! In addition, their smoothly designed structure makes note bending incredibly easily, so you can pull off wild pitch shifts without choking out.
Underneath the multi scale fretboard is another piece of Ibanez magic. Their wizard profile neck is super flat, super thin and extra smooth thanks to a satin polyurethane finish. It gives you loads of room on the fingerboard to pull off sweep picked arpeggios or rapid lead patterns, and lets you transition around the scales at top speed.
What's more, the five-piece maple/walnut construction provides a robust durability, one that's extra resistant to temperature and humidity changes. You can thrash as hard as you like, because thie neck won't bend, warp or break while you're rocking.
On top of its sleek playability, the SML721 hosts some reliable hardware to make your playing seamless. Gotoh locking tuners guarantee stability while you're shredding, and pair with a mono-rail bridge to provide accurate intonation across the scales. With the bridge minimising cross-talk between strings, your note definition will remain hyper-clear and with maximum sustain.
