The SR805 Bass Guitar is elegantly crafted with a mahogany body, along with a stunning poplar burl top. Finished in an eye-catching amber colour, the Ibanez gives any player an instant boost in stage presence. As well as visual aesthetics, the SR805 offers comfortable contours and a single cutaway design, allowing full access of the whole fingerboard with ease. The extended neck joint also adds a unique appearance to this model, and makes higher frets easier to reach.
The Bass' body is coupled with a thin 5-piece jatoba/bubinga neck for an incredibly comfortable play, and provides excellent stability, preventing against warping or twisting over time. Its slim profile is thinner than a traditional bass neck and allows for fast playing styles. Like many basses from Ibanez, this stunning model features a rosewood fingerboard, and provides a warm, soft tone with a natural feel. This classic fingerboard is also decorated with abalone oval inlays for added elegance.
The Ibanez SR805 is equipped with a set of Bartolini MK1 pickups, with its split coil design delivering a wide frequency range with definition and superb accuracy. Both pickups offer an incredible response like traditional single-coils, but without any unwanted hum and noise for the ultimate performance. The 3-band EQ lets you mould every nuance of your sound, offering an incredibly wide range of tonal possibilities as you shape and craft the bass’ sound.
In addition to 3-band EQ, the SR also features a mid-frequency select switch, letting you instantly switch between 250Hz, 450Hz, and 700Hz, the heart of the mid zone, to create a more dynamic and ideal tone when needed.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Ibanez basses have been used on some of modern rock's most poignant albums of recent years. The preferred instruments of many awe inspiring bass players, amongst them Fieldy from Korn, Paul Gray from Slipknot and Peter Iwers of In Flames, Ibanez Basses continue to be the first stop for learners and professionals alike, no matter what musical genre they exist in.
