Brilliant Bartolinis

With a pair of Bartolini pickups at your back, your basslines will explode with richness, fullness, and character. Their tonal range is huge – capable of handling any genre. The bridge pickup is raw and powerful, beefing up every note and punching through the mix like a wrecking ball.

The neck is warmer and smoother – perfect for blending in with other instruments and bringing out fatness in your riffs. Both have a tight bottom end and punchy midrange, with the double coil design adding tonnes of punch. As if that weren't enough, there's also an active three-band EQ control section, where you can tinker until you've found your perfect tone, as well as a 3-way mid-frequency focus switch. It really doesn't get better than this.

Professional playability

This Ibanez bass is crafted with a mahogany body, topped with eye-catching poplar burl, and finished in a translucent deep twilight. This combination of premium tonewoods offers stunning aesthetics, whilst adding a warmth and resonance to the overall tone. A double cutaway is also incorporated into the Ibanez SRMS800's design and allows easier access to the higher frets.

The eye-catching body is coupled with a 5-piece jatoba/walnut neck, offering comfort, stability, and durability. Unlike other Ibanez basses, this model features a panga panga fingerboard, which is a more sustainable tonewood than the commonly used rosewood. It's very similar to wenge and rosewood in both looks and tone, whilst adding a warmth and resonance to the overall tone and providing a smooth platform for the left hand.

What makes this Ibanez bass unique is the innovative fingerboard design. The ergonomic construction of this instrument coordinated with the player's hand angle, providing quick, smooth playing functions. This versatile fretboard offers the playability of a 35.5" scale, along with the comfort and punch of a 34". By combining these together, you can achieve an abundance of tones from this bass.
