Key Features
The Ibanez TMB105 5-String Talman Bass is a vintage-inspired instrument with a versatile tonal character. Featuring a poplar body, maple neck, and jatoba fingerboard, the TMB105 boasts a lightweight feel and bright overtones with plenty of sustain. These tones are voiced with clarity by a set of Dynamix PJ pickups that suit wide range of styles and genres, from the sharp high-end of slap funk to the laid back low-down grooves of RnB. Even better, they're all controllable with Ibanez' custom 2-band EQ that lets you adapt your tone for any setting.
Its sleek neck shape and comfortable playing feel make it a great starting point for beginner bassists, while pros and intermediate players will appreciate its genre versatility and reliable Ibanez hardware. That includes that B15W bridge which helps your tuning and intonation stay locked in place, working in tandem with Ibanez's classic style machine heads. Complete with a tortoishell pickguard to offset the cool noir finish, the TMB105 boasts old-school charm and a modern reliability that won't disappoint.

The TMB105 is loaded with a pair of powerful Dynamix bass pickups with a 'J' at the neck and a 'P' at the bridge. The combination of the punchy "P"-style split coil pickup and mellow "J"-style single coil pickup, allows the instrument to achieve everything from smooth, vintage sounds to thundering rock tones.
The Ibanez TMB105's body is crafted from lightweight poplar, which provides a high frequency response, as well as an overall light tone with sparkling highs. Poplar is a soft tonewood and therefore offers a mellowed tone with some warmer lows.
The neck of this Talman bass is made from maple, which provides bright tones with plenty of twang, as well as excellent levels of sustain. The neck is bolted on which brings added snap for an excellent bass tone. The neck is also paired with a jatoba fingerboard that gives the TMB105 Bass good projection with a clear ringing tone, as well as a beautiful, natural wood grain.
